I have been recently plaing with efi live on my 04 lb7.... I put a pretty hot race tune in the truck and after the reflash my service engine light illuminated. I scanned the truck and it had an EGR solenoid low circuit voltage code (PO489). Could i just all of the sudden have a stickey EGR or just have somthing screwed up with the tune. Im not even real sure if my truck has an EGR, I was told by a d-max specialist that it didnt.... now im really confused!!!! could this hurt my truck if the EGR is stuck open?

It depends if your truck has california emissions or not. Did/Does it have a Cat?? Also look next to the turbo on the pass side is there a big shinny tube? That would be the EGR.

nope its a non egr truck i found that out today i think it has something to do with my efi live i think im gonna try putting my old tune back in and see what happens....no cat either.

I got this same code myself when I first disabled the EGR on my truck, after clearing the code via EFI LIVE it never came back. Maybe you can get lucky yourself.
