EFI Gasser Tunes, 5.3L

Does anyone have a decent tune for a 5.3 gasser? I'm looking for a tune for my dad. He's got an 05' bone stock and is looking for a little better mileage.
 
I'll be needing one for a 8.1 liter also.
 
Jim I may have something for you. whats the OS of the truck. I was working on one for an 04 1500 with a 5.3 but havent seen the guy to put it in. if you want to be a guinea pig i'll hook you up with it just give me some feedback
 
My 5.3 Is in an 03 Burb. Im hesatant to buy the extra license though. Maybe I can convince the owner of it (my dad) to spend the hundred dollars. But I have no clue how to tune gassers.

If somebody finds 6.0 tunes I could find plenty of reasons to just buy stream licensing since a lot of my buddies have 6.0s and want me to tune their Max.
 
Pete I'm not sure on the OS yet, I haven't had time to check yet. I may do that this weekend. He is looking for better mileage. I'll try it out and give some feedback no problem.....
 
Go into the speedometer section. There is a speedo calculator button. Push that and enter your width profile and rim diameter. It automatically changes it.
 
as far as I know it wasnt working. but that was back with version 7.4 i'm not sure if they fixed it in 7.5 but there has to be a formula somewhere that you can do the math yourself and just enter the number. if I find the time i'll look for it and post it.
 
There is one place I got tunes for the 5.3 I had supercharged, Westers Garage. Most vendors will at least know who he is if you call them, and he made a great PCM swap tune for the Supercharger.

I had to have him back it down when I got back to CA though because they sell poopy gas here.
 
As for the speedo I know some of the numbers are weird. THey put in a 3.72 rearend ratio when we have a 3.73.

I changed that number and entered my tires in and my speedo is right on and I have 7.4.
