Truck hit the rollers yesterday. 203rwhp at 3800rpm and 331ft lbs at 2700rpm. Not bad for a mildly modified 6.5L. I think I could have picked up maybe ten extra horse though. I was already running super clean by about 3000rpm. I think with a touch more fuel I could have done better. This was with the stock GM-3 set at 15psi.

Not too shabby, all things considered.

Not earth shattering, but respectable for a 6.5....

Makes me want to get my 98 on the bed just out of curiousity.......

X2 I agree BJ I would like to do the same with mine...nothing beats data though different dyno machines will generate different numbers.

This is great, very few dyno sheets to view here, hope we can see the sheet...

I would love to post the sheet up but I have no way of doing so. I don't got a scanner or anything. I will try to find my digital camera today and take a pic of it and link it up. And for as little as I have done to it, I was extremely happy with the numbers. I was honestly expecting only about 170rwhp. And the main idea of me hitting the dyno was just to get a fairly baseline number, so if I do any mods in the future I can put it back on the rollers and see where it went.

I dont know if it matters but the dyno sheet doesn't have a curve on it. It just lists the power numbers.

Yeah. I searched today a bit for my digital camera and could not find it. I will keep looking, so it may be a bit before I can upload a picture of the sheet. My goal orignaly was 200hp at the rear wheels. So I barely scraped by. My next goal in the future is 225. Time will tell if it's possible or not.

I think we should have a dyno sticky thread of some sort... Every other diesel engine forum has one! :rolleyes5:

No problem doing that, Tanner. As soon as some Dyno sheets start to show up, we'll start a thread on them and stick it to the Technical Library.

Awesome. When I have a running 6.5 again I plan to take it to a local dyno day, uses a mustang iirc. It would be nice to have dyno records along with the set up when the dyno was ran.

Done. You can find Dyno records in the 6.5 Technical Library under "D" for Dyno...

6.5L, as soon as you have a pic/scan of your Dyno sheet, post it, along with the state of modifications (ie: your sig has an ATT listed, but you commented that you used the stock GM-3 for the test.) and let me know. I'll copy that post into the Dyno thread for you.

Thanks for sharing!!

Jim

Yeah, found the digital camera.....out of juice. I got it plugged in charging then I will take a pic of the sheet. Also, if it matters, my truck was also ran on a Mustang dyno. An sorry for the mix-up with the turbo's. It's a long story. ATT is on it's way back to me. I was just using the GM in the meantime. Which worked out, because now I have a base number.

that would be nice to see a comparison before and after ATT...hopefully you can have close to the same conditions when you dyno the att to get accurate comparison results...

Sorry about the shitty quality of the post. It's the first time I uploaded a photo. And sorry about the bad view of the sheet. any larger and the image was too big to upload. I tried getting the essentials.
