Hi all, names Anthony & Ive been lurking for over a year now and now just signed up. I am replacing my injection pump and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the DTech injection pumps over the Stanadyne. Im not sure if DTech just uses Stanadyne pumps and rebuilds them and puts their pmd on it or what. Im looking to buy a pump but am on a budget and was thinking of going with a rebuilt Stanadyne from Pennsacola or a Dtech from XDP. Any and all feed back would be appreciated...Thanks Anthony

I think you are correct in saying Stanadyne is the Mfr, and the aftermarket jazzes them up.

BUT, I do not have first hand experience with DTech, so maybe others here have.

Of course a remotely mounted PMD, no matter what brand, is the way to fly. Most use a nice aluminum plate or heatsink and get it out of the engine compartment somewhere.

yeah Im not sure if DTech rebuilds Stanadyne pumps and just puts their pmd's on them or they make their own line of pumps

The Dtech that I used was a rebuild. I only put about 20k miles on it before I sold it so I can't comment to the longevity. It is working fine for the new owner. Probably only 30k miles so far though.
Those crows feet in the back of you toolbox, that you have never used, will be your friend when working with the injection lines at the pump.

IIRC, DTech stands for DiPaco Technology.

Yes, they are a rebuilder of IP.
I have not heard any issues at least after reading/member of 6.5L diesel forum for about 6 years.
If there is problem, we would hear it. So, it may be good since they put their own name in it.

I have heard mix good and bad with Pensacola's rebuilt.
There is also Badger Diesel aka KR_Services on ebay which is good.
