I have code 56 pmd resistor. Can I use a resistor from a black pmd in a gray pmd?

The truck is a 1995. What effect does a bad resistor on the way the truck runs?

Not sure on that. Are you sure it has a resistor? 96+ will run fine without until you do a TDCO

Well what do you know there was no resistor in the pmd! Where did it go?
I've had a ses light for quite some time but I thought it was my timing.
Replaced the resistor and no more ses.

94-95 are supposed to go 50 starts before the pcm checks the resistor value.

I'll let you know tomorrow after work. It's a 80 mile round trip so I'll know. For as long as I can remember I've had an occational fish bite. My hope is it will end this.
The motor is a Ted's gep take out. I have put about 400 miles on it and it runs great. Having the ses light reset is just a bonus.

Well the only noticeable difference is the SES light not on which is great.
I just filled up with fuel to night to see if there's a mileage difference. Where I'm working is a 2700 foot climb. The first tank with this motor was 14 mpg. I'd like to see it improve.
