dtc 36

[3500 dually]

hey good people of the truck stop, I'm getting a dtc code 36 injection pulse error time long. Should I start with a new pmd? I have the pmd relocated behind the front bumper already. Any suggestions?

Put some 30 wt oil or 2 stroke oil in the fuel first, Code 36 is usually an IP code. If it doesn't help a PMD change may cure it. If you have a spare PMD you could try it first.

I have an old pmd that triggers both 35 and 36 but still runs FWIW.

PMD behind the bumper can still fail, unfortunately.
We hope that the location will prolong its life compare to the stock location.
Unfortunately, Quality Control affect that greatly, in other words, the PMD quality is also going down.

As stated above, try putting 2 cycle oil in the fuel every time you fill up and see if it can help.

Yea i usually do run 2 stroke oil but my has been driving since I've got my duramax. I ask him if he has been mixing in 2 stroke oil and has not. We do now have it mix in. I think I will order another PMD from leroy diesel.
