Am showing a code 16 vss buffer fault. Also ABS light comes on at about 15 mph and goes back off when below 15 mph. Also no cruise control. What's the fix?

Tires have been on the truck since December, speedo reads 3 mph high at all speeds. Recalibrated VSS in December when regear was done. Just started about 2 weeks ago. I need to fix this soon as am driving to VA in a couple of weeks and am spoiled on cruise control! Also noticed that at low rpms, near idle, if i give a bit of pedal and let off, engine will continue to pull for a couple of extra seconds

I guess the easy fix would be if the brake fuse was blown, or whatever the comparable fuse in 95 is. Thats the most likely culprit. It is because the DTC will only set above 20mph, and that fuse provides power to both VSSB and anti-lock brakes in my 94, but maybe not in 95, although Anti-lock brakes need a VSSB signal to work right.

If your speedo is working doesnt make too much sense though, unless that part is passive.

You might want to just check that the power is at the connector with the ignition on. And you can test continuity from the VSSB harness to the PCM pins.
