So if a guy put bigger plungers in a ds4 would it mess up the ECM? I'm thinking you just wouldn't have to give it so much throttle. Idle may be high tho.

Not sure how much diameter you would have to add to get any appreciable improvement? Might make throttle response touchy but probably program could correct that.

Not a whole lot of meat left in the web of the rotor thingy. I have one in pieces if you want me to post for a visual.

A pondering wonder how hard it would be or possible? to retrofit or mate up a de-rated pressure modern common rail pump to the fuel distributor rotor and program the timing somehow with a the fuel solenoid or 2 ???? Kind of a Frankenstein injector pump ??? Just take out the cam ring and make a new rotor and plumb the common rail pump to feed the DS housing and forget about the cam ring and plungers supplying the fuel pressure?????

Boy my memory sucks and I forget particulars. I think I have seen this discussed and it was a combination of force = pressure x area and driving force plus length to diameter ratio of the plungers and how close they get at plunger stroked.

On the rotor the outside diameter appears to have material but not sure about at the inside diameter. I seemed to have lost the other long plunger but here is a picture minus the rotor. If you increase plunger diameter you would have to increase cam lobe diameters I think or they might collide????

The length of short plungers might could be shortened in relation to increased diameter and or increase in pitch diameter of cam ring??? May be doable but I don't think its as easy as increase plunger diameter and increase plunger bore diameter????

What say ya'll?
