What would cause 1 drum from locking up when braking, and not releasing the next morning (w/o compressing the e-brake). Or, when the e-brake is engaged, to prevent it from releasing. As far as I know, its just the one wheel.

I'm planning on pulling the drum off today and replacing the cylinder, hardware (if needed), and take an assessment of the drums.

Do both sides. Take them apart, clean all the hadware, lube (white waterproof grease) the pivots/starwheel/etc and reassemble. That usually solves the problem. Could be a bad wheel cyl too but try the clean & lube first.

Replaced my rotors, calipers, and pads in the front, and shoes, springs, and driver's side cylinder - all yesterday. I'm sure glad I put anti-seize on my wheel bearings because they slid right out after the bolts were removed from my front knuckles. Bad thing is - got the brakes bled at 12am, test drive at 1am, pinhole leak in main line at 1:30am, drove my g/f's car to work today. Sucks. (I was hitting my brakes hard when road testing it, seeing as I have a 30 mile commute on an interstate going through construction now.) (by the way, my shoes were both cracked in back - and the e-brake was sticking on the driver's side)
