You need to take off the interior door panel and fix the linkeage that goes to the inside handle. It probably just fell out (it has a z shaped bend at the end that holds it in, yet allows it to pivot)

i had one of each problem on 2 of my trucks.
the sticky keylock was fixed by spraying a copious amount of w-40 at the door latch mechanisme by sticking the straw past the window seal on the outside.
The door handle problem could be caused by a stretched actuater rod,[there are some bends in it] broken handle lever or a disconnect at either end. you will have to take the door panel off to investigate.

The door handle breaking is a common problem on these trucks. I have replaced 2, one on my old '95 and one on my current truck. Advance Auto Parts has them for about $15. I think they are on the "HELP" rack. Make sure you have a rivet gun because it is riveted in place.

I always just drill out the rivet and replace with a large self tapping screw. I guess a bolt and lock washer would also work.....or just rivet the sucker like you said hahaha.

That white metal GM uses is a joke for something as important as a door handle.

I didn't think there was enough room for a bolt and nut, evidently I was wrong. I was also scared of scratching/breaking the glass. Thanks for the insight, Gerald as I am sure I will replace another one in my life time.

Mom's on her third one in the 96 Yukon, they only seem to make about 6 years a piece
Never had any problems with the good ole 91 though!

I did the same thing BUT bought my interior handle at the Stealership.
