I know this isn't diesel related, but I'll try anyways...

I currently have a '99 Burb (Gas:rolleyes5: ) All of a sudden, the door lock fuse blew. I replaced it and it blew again. I disconnected the harness from every door and it still blows. :mad2: Any ideawhere the relay is so I can check that? I'm a little scared to try and trace down a short, but I will if I have to. LOL

TIA, :grouphug:

I believe the relay is pass side of steering collum, you need remove lower dash panel to get to it.

you must have a short some where ,most likely in the door hinge flexpoint.

Ok, I'll check there. I don't think the short is at the door hinge flex point because I pulled all of those wires out and unplugged each door, but a closer inspection won't hurt.

Thanks! :)

What else does that circuit run. It may not be your locks at all. It might be one of the other circuits. For instance: I have a few turbo buicks, and one of the big things is the wire on the back of the cig. lighter. It eventually breaks and blows the fuse, but most people don't think to look there.

Funny you should mention that...The circut DOES run the cig. lighter which stopped working shortly before this problem. I'm going outside to investigate!
