I woke up late this morning but that is fairly normal for a college kid just before finals. Grabbed some milk and poptarts and was out the door. Started my truck and it squeaked and rattled more than normal, no time to worry about it though. Got to class late. Had a test and didn't do the best. I got out of school the truck started hard, the belt SCREAMED at me, but cleaned up after a minute. I just thought if I could get it home I would takes the wifes car to school and fix the truck tomorrow afternoon. It is only a 70 mile drive home.

NOT!!! I made it 20 miles and my alternator locked up tighter than a pickle jar. CRAP! Called my father in-law he owns a salvage yard and has a tow truck. I pulled the alternator he drove me the other 50 miles home went to autozone. I droped the new one it and away I went.

Happy birthbay me! End rant.

I had one lockup so hard it broke the case of the alt. Napa wouldn't take it as a core. THe GOOD part, I was able to drive 25 miles home with the belt slipping on the froze alt.

My truck died whe it happened so I coasted into a guys yard. It died running 45mph while breaking for a T in the road. Good thing there was room to roll and no one coming, this could have ended worse. I started it back up and pulled into the guys driveway. I doubt I could have made it home, it wasn't worth trying. The bearings in the rear of the housing are now nonexistant. They took the core but the parts guy tooked at it and said OH $#!+ it is stuck!

Yea, me too. Its not cool loosing P/S & P/B at the same time. Make sure all the factory brackets are installed and tight.

Tanman, Did you atleast pass the test??
