Dodge to GM mirrors

I saw on one of the other forums where someone put the Dodge flip-up style towing mirrors on an '88-'00 GM truck. He made a conversion bracket, and drilled a few holes. Here's my question, would that conversion bracket be the same as what's supplied by Dodge to convert a non-towing mirror truck to one with towing mirrors?
