Diesel leak

I have diesel leaking from the hose that goes from the injector pump to the valve where you check to see if the lift pump is working. How long does it take and how hard is it to change. I use my pickup every day for work so I was wondering if I could do it in a short time after work. I was told I need to pull the intake to repair this. Thanks for all the help.

I might be able to fish the new one threw the engine valley without pulling the intake. I did this before when my line from the filter to the IP went bad. wasn't easy though

Cut the drain line loose at the T valve up front.

Now undo the bolts at that hold the fuel manager to the intake. This will afford some slack in the hose.

Get a fresh piece of hose the right length ++ and a push lock connector. Connect the new piece of hose to the old one.

Now disconnect the hose from the filter/manager and use the old hose to pull the new hose in with.

It would be a great time to replace the fuel feed hose to the top of the OP too.

Replace the filter at the same time.
Purge the air out of the system with the lift pump untill you have clean airfree fuel at the feed line and the drain line.

Button up the works and your done. No need to remove the intake manifold.

You will need to take the air top hat off to get some room to work though.

Easy job, should be able to do it in less than an hour.

The fuel feed to the IP has a molded end but you can use regular fuel hose and just leave a good curve at the top.

Best
