that's not very far from where I'm at. I'm in Lancaster which is about 15 minutes from Somerset.

I've looked at these pics a few times now and my favorite by far is the cooler in the back of the truck with no tailgate. How do you not slide that out of the back? Is it tied down or does the board holding it on an angle do it?

baord at an angle and there is bailign wire from then andle of then cooler to a hole in then bed frame

will get picks up later

got everythign minus the front srpings and 2wd steering box..

for the ORD flip shackles installed in then back.. relocated top of then rear shocks down about 6" and more veritcle..

had to run into lowes pick up some cutoff wheels.

right now the ruck has a ~4" forward rack to it..

then extra flex i got now i can go through the twist in then last pic on my first post in 2wd(removed front drive shaft) vs 4wd with fair amount of easy..

not too mention it rids ALOT smother... cant wait till i get the 64" springs inthenback

so some pictures:smile5:
with then rear shackle flip got ~6" of verticle drop in the rear axle.. its not lifter right not forgot to snap the pick when i had it up

truck is up high enough to roll 245/75/16 full tread tires under the front. i let the rear spring hanger free so i could get goos access to the u-bolt nuts.. i will cut them once i have the 52" springs installde they are about 2.25" thick vs then 1.5" then oem stock are.
also instal russle brake hardware hard line adpart to -3, 26" -3/-3 braided line and -3/10mm banjo
32220_1411781368120_1040072946_1181011_2852672_n.jpg

all buttoned up need to do a good brake bleed.
i reloaceted the top mount for the rear shocks to below then frame and so they are siting about 10-15* off verticale...
got then steering brace installed as well..
need to figure out some way to remount the sway bar end to the spring bads.
and relocate then front shocks when then 52s go on the front

some more frame bracing and boxing the frame would be a good idea on that era truck. my 84 k30 flexes the frame some as well, though not as much as yours. what size tires are you planning to go with?

35" for now.. 37/38" should fit wiht minor trimings... magor trim 42s but since its still a DD 35s it is might get some 37s

i got some serious shimmy/death wobble formt hen axle goign l/r from bumps
goign to build a panhard/track bar and new eninge crossmember this weekend.
something along this idea
i picked up ome 1/4" plate that it ~5' long and 7" wide some 1.5" .120 wall tubing and some 3 point hitch turn buckles. it wont look this nice but the general idea and need to get done so i cna drive it safely again..

curious that your having shimmy/wobble going on with just 35"s. check your ball joints and hub bearings, might be having an issue there.

i have brand new king pins, brand new tie rods.

the 52" springs have enouhg lateral flex ~1/4-3/8" in both direction to give it just by rocking ths steering... and yes i have the steering box brace from ORD already installed ;)

currently it has 285.75.16 on it.

cast got no idea... but thats not 90% of the problem
this is what i did as a temp fix... goignt o get some tubing and bend it making it look nice..need to make everythign double shear vs the single shear a friend has a tube bender that we are going to put a Z bend in then track bar.. this fixed 95% oif the problems... goign to make it stiffer and should clear everything up.
