Whoops, while connecting switches for extra lights, i accidently made a short.
Took power to run the light in the switch from the light grey electric panel under the dash, in front of the parking brake release.
Got the cables connected wrong and it sounded like a fuse burned (Click) and no power from that outlet .
any longer. The rest of the truck was still poweren like normal.
No fuses in the fuse box on the left of the dash is burned, but my cruise dont work anymore.
Did i fry something? -and what could have made that sound when the cruise fuse is still intact ?

I will never do that again, promise :agreed:

look under the hood at that fuse box. i shorted out two fuses with the trailer wiring when putting on a new rear bumper and didnt have to replace anything except those two fuses.

Check all the fuses both in the dash and under the hood.
Sounds like you popped one of the auto reset breakers.
Check the cruise control plug at the bottom of the column going into the dash for coming loose.

Check for codes in the computer as some disable cruise.

Finally got the cruise to live again. Turned out that the only fuse blown was one for the brake-cirkuit, but now it works. Strange car :)
Even more strange because in the meantime every once in a while the vipers would not work, but when it happened, the cruise worked.
Now both things works.

All grounds are cleaned, but could it sound to you like a fail in the wires going to the viper/cruise stalk ?

Thanks
