dealer install wrong ip?

when i bought my truck of my boss two years ago he said it had a new fuel system. He had the dealer replace the ip. I think the dealer replaced the ip with a 6.2 mech pump. It has the letter J stamped on the tag.doese the 6.2 pump put out less fuel than the 6.5 td?

What is model number of that pump? That J letter alone doesn't tell much

hey i got the part number and did some searchin on the forum. db2 4911. so i guess its the right one after all.

The DB2 is a 6.2 pump. It is also a 6.5 pump. The later DB4 electronic troublemakers started in 1994.

yeah but the 6.5 versions are 200hp units unlike the 6.2 n/a. pumps.
