Hi to all, i'm in the middle of a DS4 to DB2 swap on a 2001 6.5 rear centre turbo engine, i've got a good DB2 injection pump and a set of later larger 6.2 injection lines but have just found out i need the little extension fitting that screws onto the pump outlet #1 before i can hook up the line properly. i'm not 100% sure of the correct name for this item and i can't seem to find a part number to get one. if someone could give me a part number for this to aid my search that would be a great help. i've done quite a bit of searching over the internet and i have found a few people mention this item but they all seem to give it a different name. this is the first DS4 to DB2 swap i have done but if all goes well i may be doing one for my brother also. any help and information regarding this item is much appreciated.

Welcome to ththe forum, and wise choice going to the db2.

I'm not sure about just the part, but I know http://leroydiesel.com sells new line kits. Iirc the new line kits don't use the adapter, since the old timing tool is no longer available.
Hopefully someone here has an old one they will part with if you have the tool.

yeah DB2 all the way for me, i like them, i have one on my M1008cucv which i've driven daily for almost 15 years, i put a brand new db2 on it about 12 years ago and it's been great ever since. these newer ds4 pumps just need too many other items to keep them happy, i have 2 2001 ex USAF box vans with the 6.5 rear centre turbo, both done little miles but both none runners. i've had the first running with the db2 off my M1008 to make sure engine is good, it ran great, so i purchased another db2 for a 6.5 and also the correct injection lines for it and then on installation found #1 line to be short at the pump end. the second box truck i'm going through it and trying to get it to run with the ds4, today i have it firing up then stalling out right away. i'm just letting battery and starter recover before i try it agian, it may still have a bit of air in the lines.

i like the sound of a replacement one piece line and forget the pulse timing adapter, i dont have the timing tool anyway, i just thought they all came with the adapter as i've never seen a factory db2 6.5 setup to look at. not really that many running around over here in the U.K. at the moment my daily driver is a 5.7 tbi 93 suburban (ex USAF). truck is fine but i dont like petrol so one of these 6.5 diesels is going in later this year. i'f i have no luck with finding the timing adapter i will most likely buy the replacement line kit you mentioned, it's just a PITA that i bought, shipped and got hit with customs charges once already, then just go and do it again just because of this little extension type fitting.
