What is the by the book procedure to adjust idle speed on a DB2 IP? I have a 6.5 but not with the electronic junk...

Also need to verify the TPS adjustment for the 4l80E auto. Does this get changed with an idle adjustment?

I know how to test the cold start advance/high idle system.

Please point me in the direction if I overlooked a sticky. :rolleyes5:

I think idle speed rpm is marked on the valve cover sticker.

Unplug the temp sensor in the manifold crossover should pop the cold advance solinoid into play.

The '92 and '93 6.5's are the 4911 mechanical IP engines, a little different from the '94 up trucks.

the idle adjust screw is just below the fast idle solenoid pushrod. you may have to push the throttle cable out of the way to see it. Idle is set at 650rpm, warm in neutral or park.
