This is a carryover from a thread in 6.5 performance and was not a thread started by Great White in context that follows

So, ran across this:

www.a1customs (add in .com if you dare) /dash_mounted_turbo_boost_control_gm_diesel.htm

I'm pretty sure this guy has been "debunked" a several times and the web site hurts my eyes, but:

Hot link edited for good of the TTS 6.5 family it may not be PC to say so, this vendor puts the TARD in RETARD

Oh lord please don't say you ventured onto steak boys crap, does your computer have adequate spam, virus, and junk mail protection, I'd run a deep scan just to be safe, he has been banned for every website in the Diesel world with exception of the one he owns.

As Buddy says, it is a dash mounted boost fooler, a sucker born every minute if you buy it, maybe $10 of parts, same fooler concept we use just on a long harness to bring it into the cab .

in addition to trashing websites and other part sellers, several folks have reported buying said fooler, and the "adjustable rate fuel controller" :icon_bs: have it arrive packaged in a old toilet paper, or paper towel tube put together with bad "cold" solder joints fail and A-1 C be difficult in taking care of the issue.

Caveat Emptor when doing business with the "condiment king".

Like I said, let's not trash the guy, It's been done and I have no intention of purchasing anything there.

I just wanted to discuss the concept, as buddy has done.

I figure it was just an adjustable resistor setup and it looks like it is....

Glad to hear it,

While I know you did not want to go there; as a public service announcement to the 6.5 community I and most of the individuals of the 6.5 community that have known this "individual" feel compelled to put out as much info as possible every time mere mention of the vendor comes up.

The population of "new 6.5ers" is always growing as the 6.5 becomes a affordable entry level Diesel option, and inadvertently A-1 pops up on a search engine and yet another potential fleecing can happen.

This individual is the one exception I make no allowances for to not outright bash he is worthy of any & all negativity that can be bestowed upon him, he has been a blight on the 6.5 community for years.

What you may not know that he was given multiple opportunities to be a upstanding site member and vendor at multiple sites yet his m/o when legitimate questions were asked of him by members he goes straight into attack mode.

Normal m/o he shows up at a site, starts posting about how great A-1 products are then another A-1 supporter shows up and "yeah what he said" A-1 is the best it does not take long to ID him via multiple postings different identities same IP address, or via his "unique" style of writing.

If it were not such a sad situation it could almost be humorous, at one point every 6.5 guy was the same person according to him, with an agenda just to seek him out as one individual, nope many individuals keep a constant vigil out for him to pop up out of the woodwork then the call to mount up the posse goes out.

For the 6.5 community at large:

This PSA service message is so important that at multiple sites he holds a place in the sites FAQ warnings as someone to avoid at all costs, it is the work of forum members that mitigate the damage he could reap on the 6.5 community. Sites have been so successful as curtailing his efforts we have earned a "soft spot" :) at his site where he feels the need to warn others about us, visit both sites if you feel you must figureout on you own why comments have been made ande who is trying to drive a sale, and who is trying to protect your 6.5 and your wallet.

Friends don't let friends buy from there.

Just to add to the above, Steaksauce (from A1) is a personal project of mine; I'm quite proud of finding him and clobbering him at every opportunity; not because I like doing it (OK, there is a little of that in there), but as Tim said, it's a service to the 6.5 community.

Guys, buy from whomever you want. Bashing steaksauce is a calling; we honestly feel that buying anything from him is a losing proposition, have multiple indications that he doesn't honour his (implied) warranties, and first-hand experience with his psychotic behaviour. That's why we won't let him anywhere near here.

We will recommend what we think is the best product for your needs, and are clearly biased toward our site vendors. However, you'll notice we're pretty picky about those - we only accept vendors whom we personally trust and feel comfortable vouching for - in our opinions, our vendors are the very best there is.

If you want to buy from somebody else, you have our sincere best wishes; we want to hear about your transactions, and every time you guys find a real good vendor, we'd love to bring him to the site, to add to the already excellent crew we have here.

Jim

You know, I never understood the "condiment" and "steaksauce" comments until Jfaire posted "a-1 steaksauce" above.

Kinda funny, although I don't really approve of "name calling"....

If you know what he has done to a few people, you will agree on the name calling. That guy is harsh and always bad mouthing other people's product.

I may not agree with some people but I will not screw them up or bad mouth them unless they are really bad in which case you are not bad mouthing anybody.

Nope, still don't approve of name calling.

Just seems.........................I dunno............:rolleyes5:.............."immature"............
