My buddy has a cummins with the 4inch exhaust he is getting a aftermarket system. I have a 4inch exhaust that exits before the rear wheel and was wondering you guys think its possible to canaiblize the cummins tail pipe to make it work on my 6.5 so the exhaust exist where it should i know i have to change hangers. im wondering if the bend over the axel would be the same? I think its possible to make it work

Anything is possible with a sawzall and a welder. But even if you dont have access to a welder you can probably make something work.

The dodge trucks have alot of room between the rear axle and the bed, more so than a chevy, but it might be possible to make the tailpipe fit. I would be mostly concerned with the side clearence of the shock.

And if you are getting it for free what have you got to lose? some time? a few beers? good luck

pipe is pipe if you have fab skills all is possible, now also check into a muffler shop or 4x4 shop that upgrades ferds from 4" to 5", IIRC ferds have stainless 4" pipe stock which is just scrap to a muffler shop

I see in sig you are running 18 psi boost, sustained ??? or 18psi capable, I see from sig also 80 Hp chip ??? SSD's ? (I hope not) especially with 18 psi boost, your not set up from what I see for 18 psi boost.

6.5 without some sort of post compression cooling needs to be kept to about 12-14 psi

14 to 15 psi going uphill or towing, 18 psi when i really get on. I can pull 18psi when going up hills till tranny shifts. i have a egt gauge never goes over 850 degress. I keep a constant eye on my truck been running it like that for over a year now no problems. I got a saying "boost it till it breaks!" then i'm gonna tear it down find the weak spots and improve everything. I plan on getting a chip so my ses light don't come on when i hold 15+psi on long pulls. whats wrong with ssd I get all my stuff there, they are local and reasonably priced? never heard anything bad about them
