Current MPG on my Road Trip

Some may know, I'm on vacation right now. Arrived in FL today, upon rough figuring my mileage right now I got 21.9 MPG on trip down here. Very impressive to say the least. I'm currently running a 425HP Tune from Upstate Diesel Performance.

I'll update as I return home and figure it up on my spread sheet. :)
 
thats what i got on a small trip i went on. just shy of 22mpg. That was with the PPE set on the 90hp setting.

and a 425hp tune!? thats nuts.
 
Yep.

This was all interstate driving averaging 75MPH. And of course the stop and go for breakfast, lunch, etc..
 
ha nice! I was nervous when i turned my PPE on 225hp for a few days!!

Im leaving tomorrow for Florida and ill post up my fuel mileage also
 
Clarify something for me. When you say a 425hp tune you mean 360hp stock + 65hp tune to = 425hp correct?

Or do you mean an additonal 425hp over 360hp stock = 785hp? I dont think you mean this but I just figured I would clarify...

If you are doing this with a stock tranny your are nuckin futs! :pound:

damn, that is good. i get about 17 average and I run hypertech, but I also have huge tires.
 
so,if I,m getting 12.8 stock how will I 20+ with economy tune that gives
1-4 mpg? btw 2007 lbz 33000 miles on odometer

Yes, you have to have a good base to get that kind of MPG #. You must drive with a brick under the pedal and keep stop and go traffic at a minimum. All of those factors play into effect when it comes to getting good MPG.

Fortunately, my truck has got decent mileage since day one. I don't believe the hype of aftermarket exhaust, intake will help that much. I can't say I saw any improvements, or not enough to show a difference. Some may have though.
 
As the saying goes... your results may vary...;)

Jeff, no doubt Tennessee on down was all pure #2 and not any kind of winter blend, right? Excellent mileage BTW!
 
wow I wished that I would get 20 plus mpg.I am running ppe level 2 .best I get is 17.and I stay off the pedal.have to use cruise control.lol do you figure your mileage or trust your computer??I have found my computer to be off.and it seems like 2500 get a lot better mileage than 3500..I really like my lly and have done some good mods on it and still think that there is something that is missing .plenty of power but it still needs something ....ppe level 4 or 5 ....soon to come will keep you posted on fuel mileage

I hand figure my mileage. My computer truck is always off.
