Crazy Door Lock Issue....

Hi All,

1990 Burb has a mind of it's own...

Sometimes electric door locks work, sometimes they don't. When they don't, I cannot manually unlock the doors with the key nor by pulling the lock up and there is no way out! This is driving me crazy.

Also, has anyone fabricated their barn doors with an inside release latch?

Thanks!

Pull the fuse/breaker for the door locks. It may be extremely hot. It sounds like a switch is sticking or falling into the lock position. Then the breaker is popping from overload. You could try both switches and see if the locks release when it is doing this. Likely passenger side because you are trying the driver side. Unless it is completely broken on the driver's side.

Do both switches work normally once and awhile?
