on ssdiesel i believe it is, it says you need to do a td learn when you replace your cps, is that true, or just a suggestion. and if so does it really take 2 hours?

You need to pull all the stuff bolted onto the DS front of the motor. Depends on how quick you can do that.

Why do you think your CPS needs replacing?

i already replaced it, well the clip on top wasn't attached anymore, and when i pulled it out it was cracked, i was just wondering about td learn, and i just pulled the skid plate off and got it done in about 10 min

The TDC Offset relearn is not required to start the truck and run, but is necessary for optimal PCM control for truck performance. It does not take 2 hours, maybe 15-30 minutes if you read all the instructions a couple times. On the 94-95 it can be done in GMTDScan on a laptop/computer with a ALDL/OBD1 to USB cable, both can be had from Engh Motors.

Would disconnecting the PCM for 10-15 mns end to the same result than a TDCOffset ?

We did that to solve a no start/very hard start issue on a 1995, even after a TDC relearn performed with GLMTDScantech.

After 10 mns disconnect, the truck started like a champ and is still running like charm several months after...
