1st doing a 6.5 turbo transplant in a 95 with a 95 6.5 turbo but also putting in five speed in it where auto was got it all in and peddles mounted and still have same throttle response problem i had in truck before thought is was throttle peddle sensor but seem to be pump related does this throttle stick thing and kinda a bucking in lower gears where it has more tork seem to be avoidable in taller gears put new lift pump in and no change runs better just not gone, pdm? or injection pump?

2nd put 6.5 turbo/6.2 combo out of 95 in my 83 old style body using serpentine system vacuum lines run to electronic box and back to turbo, can i eliminate it and just go straight to pump to turbo? or better off making manual waste-gate controller with spring and adjustment bolt? also put manual injection pump no computer on it so trying to make it more 83 compatible

If so then do you have a fuel pressure gauge on it? As far as the turbo goes you'll need to do a mech waste gate as the solenoid is controlled by the PCM.

ok 90% done with 83 today when wiring up ran up against two wire off new style alternator. one brown mated to brown then one left with white what is white? tach? and off old wiring harness is big red which went into plug to old alternator only two wires left, front clip to mount tomorrow, kept 6.5 manifold on drivers side and twisted clutch bracket in S fashion to clear exhaust. Thank goodness uncles shop has exhaust bender the crossover tube took a few hours and many trys to get correct bends, used 95 cooler lines and cooler, dual electric fans to mount also should be purring tommorow. yaaaahooooo

83 totally done wow what a difference, turbo wakes it up running straight pipe down between tire and shock, cant wait to pull something, night and day difference, think im gonna put turbo on my 87 with 9 inches of lift and 33 inch tires it has 6.2 and i have a 93 system to put on it, it barley pulls up hills it good but I wouldn't try to pass or pull anything

Congrats on getting her back together and running. I have Na 6.5 and I cannot imagine running a lift and big knobbies with it. I bet that turbo did make a world of difference. Maybe you can get a chance to play in some snow before spring hits!

Makes you wonder why they ever did n/a in the first place now huh? Did you track your fuel mileage before. Be interesting to see what is the difference in you truck, my Hummer was exactly the same mpg adding the turbo- just more power.

The ecm/chip will need to be changed out going from an auto to a manual. Mine would not idle correctly when I swapped mine. There is a chart on here somewhere to match the pump/hp/gvw/trans/emmisions/etc for what you would need. IIRC some of the 95 you could change the chip instead of the whole ecm. Been there done that.

We'll where I am in ak it's just bitter cold no snow to play in I like the paved roads but cold as heck , as far as fuel I was getting 18mpg before but I'm on first tank now and it's hard not to keep foot in peddle it so much more it's like having four barrel carb vs two, and I'll change computer in the 95 tommorow to see if that helps but same problem in both different trucks I'm thinking it's little black box I've got another to change it out with to check it.
