So the other day I thought I had a bad rod bearing (clacking noise) in my truck but it still has 40 lbs of oil preasure. I drove it down to my shop to check it out and on the way there it was pouring smoke out of the CDR and blew the dipstick out. I never got a chance to dig into it yet cause I had to fix my car so I have something to drive.
I was thinking.... Could a blown headgasket or cracked head cause this much blowby into the crankcase. (I was peaking around 18psi when screwing around) Cause I drove the thing a little over 25 miles like this and I would think if it was a bad ring or piston it would have caused alot more damage by now. I mean the thing still runs and drives decent minus the smoke pouring out of it through the cdr and dip stick hole.
