I stumbled on this VIN decoder. Enter your VIN and it will tell you all the option codes, the build date and how many other vehicles were built like yours.

I found out they built only one 1995 Suburban with our options!

That does give a great deal of info, including the "born on date", like my Budweiser....But since my truck was built in Nov of '93, I guess it's a year older than I thought.

That page tells me mine is also the only one of it's kind, out of 10,003 built. I'm starting to have doubts as to the veracity of that part of the site.
 
Glad you guys like the resource.

I should probably make it clearer on the site but the rarity bit is for an exact match only. There may be vehicles with the same options plus some. It also matches the RPO entry time, so the order in which your vehicle got the options is also important.

Some vehicles can have an obvious option added to some but not others. For example, LHD for Left Hand Drive. Even if all the cars have it, some may have that RPO listed making it rare in the system. At some point I may have the system pull all of your RPO codes individually and check how many vehicles have 'at least' those options in any order.

Many people don't wait it out but after giving you all your rarity info it will find the 100 rarest options for your build. Some of it is boring fleet info but it's still interesting to see.

It does not like my Duramax VIN???? I did type it in correctly too. :D

While we have over 100 Million VIN Numbers in our database, it only goes back to 1982.

Nothing found for that VIN Number. It may be that we don't have it in the database yet, but be sure to check that you have typed it correctly.

I wonder what years it goes UP to? 2000????

Hmm, I must have a knack for finding one off veh.
Of my 89,there's only 1,my 98 is also only 1.
Of the wife's 95 there are only 7 build like it.

kinda hard to believe?
