contacts for factory take offs?

My wife's Tahoe needs tires... it used to be you could get new take offs with tires for close to or little more than what you would pay for just new tires...

currently she's got 265 70 17's...I like the 18" 5 spoke silverado wheels or the 20 " tahoe wheels...not into the whole chrome wheels thing...


Anyone have any contacts for take off wheels and tires?

New tires for hers would be $800 maybe more including tax and everything...

Post up what you can...

Maybe put a wanted ad on there and just keep checking the for sale section....you might get lucky. :smile5:
 
i know people that have done that. they called the dealers in the area and were able to get a set of them. the buyer of a truck wanted different rims and tires so the dealer took them off another truck and sold the combo. i think my friends paid 500 for the rims and tires.
 
Check with your local lift kit shops. Sometimes they might have somthing or knows of a recent customer that wants to part with them.

I'll keep my eye out for ya too. I'm looking for a set of the stock 17" rims from the NBS HD Z71 trucks that have the LTZ or LT2 or LT3 trim packages. I like how those look.

I found those somewhere... both rims and tires...but $1k+ before shipping...
 
yep...I think the take off sellers have gotten wise to the fact you used to get tires and wheels cheaper than just tires alone...we were doing them a service taking them off their hands...now they are turning it around on us...
 
Hey 12ga diesel I'll check my usual source, they had some 17" 8 lug take offs a week ago...If you just want the wheels, I'll work something out with you on tires. They were 700 IIRC

Thanks guys, but a little to far west for me. I'm sure shipping would kill me. I really like those GMC wheels Devin. I'm keeping an eye out for some here locally. I would more then likely go with just wheels, as I wanna get a set of 265 or 285's BFG T/A KO's.

I found a guy that is halfway between the house and where I work that has the NBS 17" 8 lugs that I have been looking for. He wants $700 for 4 wheels and tires (stock tires 265 Duravis'). Says they are 80% or better on the tread life. Was thinking of offering $500 for them. Good deal you think?
