Anyone know if there are any tables in the PCM that could be used for turning an electric fan clutch on/off.

Just curious, where is this going? Pushers?

If the PCM cannot do it, I know there are controllers that will.

I know there are controllers but I that it would be sweet if the PCM could do it.

Not fuel related ...is more by info from cts to computer .....ifin you hack that signal {resistors or capitors}then the signal can turn on fans......all to do with the 5v signal at computer to what it outputs to fan relay.....youcould jump the system to a rocker switch ifin you want

Not convinced the OBDI will do it as I do not remember seeing any wiring pin-outs for it.

Am still on the hunt to get pin-outs for OBDII up to MY03 where I suspect the D-max ECM will do fan control; but getting OBDII pin-outs is proving difficult for a non-mechanic like myself.

I've done if before for a gent who was under the misguided impression it would help make his 6.5 "fast".

Not entry level stuff though.

Reprogrammed the PCM to use an unsed egr output to trigger electric fans.

Was a major pita.

Wouldn't do it again.

The 6.5 is a low rpm lugger, not much else.

For this, more cooling than an efan can provide is needed.

Faster and easier to use an "add on" controller.

Might be worth it if going to the hmmvw hydraulic engine driven fan setup, but that's even more complication in a system that doesn't need any more "complications" than it already has...

not planning on e fans, just an e clutch

Wondered if that was the intent . . .

If you happen to use A/C in Alaska, am thinking that pushers will have to go into the equation for when the compressor engages unless it is Ok to run only the engine cooling fan just to cool the coils.

all the OEM system uses is the engine fan

Agree, that is the OE setup. For the e-clutch (or Hummer's hydraulic) in a truck with A/C, seems like a waste to engage the engine driven fan at 100% just to cool the coils; hence the thought on pushers. Scenario: Pusher(s) engage to keep the A/C temperatures under control and the e-clutch handles the engine.

So . . . Mounting a couple dozen electric fans to the rear will not make the truck go faster???? :D

If you did that it would be ideal to remote it and the trans cooler and use the efan to cool them both. It would help with the engine cooling also.
