Class v hitch question.....

I need to get a class 5 hitch for one of my company trucks... its a 2007 classic 2500 d-max...long bed...I can get a wicked deal on a B&W class 5 hitch from my local truck shop....but the girl at B&W is telling me there is an issue with the fitment....that their hitch is for 01-06 model years...so the quesiton is 2 fold...whats the difference between an 06' and and 07' classic frame that the hitch would be different......and question 2...any of you put a class 5 hitch on an 07 classic with no issues? if so what hitch....thanks....Mike...hoping to get some answers asap.....

An 07 Classic is the parts that were leftover from 2006, before they retooled to GMT-900.

I do not believe there is any difference in the '07 classic frame from '01 through '06. In fact I'm 99.999% sure. She's just confused at the '07 GMT900 break.
I run Putnam but I doubt if it can be had any more. Powder coat on them sucks anyhow...:mad2:

I did ask the woman on the phone 2 or 3 times if she was sure that she didn't mean their bumpers wouldn't fit the new body style...and she kept saying all of 07's.....perhaps I will call back tomorrow and talk to someone else.....does any one have a class 5 on their 07 classic?

I believe the HD frames and chassis are the same through 2010. The bodies may be different, but I believe the frames are the same. Just new body panels for the 2007.5's and up. New frame and chassis come out in 2011.

I also run a Putnam Hitch. I have had good luck with it after I modified it to fit the way I needed it to fit.
