Chrome rim protection

Besides just keeping them clean, is there any tips out there for keeping chrome rims from eventually Succumbing to road salt :confused: Long winters here in Wisconsin.
 
If you really wanna leave them on during the Winter, Throw on 2-3 Coats of Wax on them NOW, then once Winter gets here, try and Wash them every 2 Weeks.
 
I tried for years to keep chrome rims rust free in salted roads...:mad2:
Never-ever again! Find some winter rims if you want to keep 'em nice.
 
A good chrome polish goes along way, towards keeping things shiny, I use the Blue Magic metal polish, it really does work wonders!

Also, giving them a good scrub with some stainless steel pot cleaner and an SOS pad helps keep that salt from eating into them.
 
coat them with Vaseline real think, will look like shit all winter but when you clean it off in summer they look better then new
 
Use a sealant like NXT Techwax 2.0 or Liquid Glass. They'll keep the salt from eating at the wheels.
