My Sis got a New Traverse Last Year, and she just started having a Problem with it Unlocking itself after she Locks it.

She Left it at the Airport, Locked it, went on her Trip, came back, it was Unlocked. Nothing Inside was taken or anything like that...Now Last Night, she Locked it at her House, went out in the Morning, and it was Unlocked again.

Anyone ever Hear of this Happening? I know she should just take it to the Dealer since it's still Under Warranty, but maybe someone has had this Problem and it's something Stupid.

I owned a 2009 traverse for 18+/- months. Never had an issue with it.

Is someone playing jokes on her, the newer Chevrolet's with on-star active can be controlled by a smart phone.

I would take it to a dealer.

Nope, other Fob is back at the House.

If it happened only at the House, I woulda thought maybe that was it, like a Stuck Button, but since it happened at the Airport as well, I think the Fob can be Ruled out...but not Entirely. Maybe just before it's out of Range, it Triggers and Unlocks the Truck.

I have a similar problem with my '09. Since this is an old post, I'm wondering if there is any resolution? My problem is actually very strange as I can sometime cause it by doing what I call my "parlor trick". Let me explain.

While driving, if I sometimes reach back with my right hand back towards the rear passenger seat (imaging trying to touch a person's leg), my automatic doors will unlock (all 4). I think it has something to do with a seat sensor, but I can't recreate it with simply bouncing up and down on the seat. I can only do it with the body shift move as I explained. In addition, over the years I've noticed that the doors will unlock if I take a corner a little fast (but not even close to unsafe speeds). So again I think maybe it is a sensor that can get fooled based on driver body weight shifting. The odd thing the two scenarios where I know it happens didn't cause the same extreme body shift.

I've recently engaged GM hoping it can be debugged, though no one has come out and said if actually is a sensor in the seat like I've theorized. My concern (actually my belief) is my doors will automatically unlock in a rollover accident. GM has me taking it to a dealer, but I think the odds of them diagnosing the problem are slim. The closest thing I can find to an explanation is from this bulletin:

Bulletin: PIT-4730A
"Buick/cadillac/chevrolet/gmc/hummer/pontiac/saturn: additional diagnostic information for u0140 or u0073. vehicle may exhibits some symptom(s) as door locks cycle while driving; intermittent no start; service stabilitrak dic message;

However user complaints say the doors toggle on/off and the stabilitrak message is shown on the dash. That doesn't happen in my case.
