Chevy k2500 4x4 lifted 3 inches - $750

That's what I thought.

I emailed the guy and haven't heard back. I asked him if I could hear it start with ether or gas from the motor, to ensure that the engine ran good. But he hasn't answered my emails.

Email through Craigslist is such a joke all the time, I won't bother contacting someone if they use the email link instead of a phone number.

Truck doesnt run, so what- he is ok with you meeting him at his house and the fact that you will have his info from buying the truck, but OMG no! Not My phone number!

I refuse to make any sort of purchase (or sale) through Craigslist unless I talk with the person on the phone. This is especially true if it's a major purchase. If I don't have a good feel for the person when talking with them, then I move on.

Good to know your guys' feedback! I always figured email was just an easier way to communicate more clearly. I typically don't speak to the person until I'm actually setting up a time or place, or unless they prefer phone conversation.

Really opening my eyes here.

The other part is the card holder services phone call scam. They pull numbers off Craigslist so thats why everyone puts in a number like 7zero2 8 four 1...

FTC said many of the "to good to be true" deals on Craigslist are so you respond to the email, and give your phone number to them. Then they put your number on the hot list so you will start getting tons of scam phone calls.

SO when you list something for sale there, dont put your name number in the contact box, do it in the ad description doing the 7zero2 thing.

And anyone living in Orlando, Fl. go do a drive by at that place btw. Rachael is a stocker...

I consider myself a rather up-to-date kind of guy, and than this happens. And I feel like this is all something I should have been aware of for quite some time! haha

I am probably more old fashioned on things like this than most. I don't mind not having a smart phone and being hip on all the latest technology. Looking at a truck, recently, the kid wouldn't email me photos, but wanted me to set up a skype account so he could do a walk-around while I was watching. This was our last conversation. I feel that if someone's posting an internet ad, the LEAST that they can do is email pictures. If I have nice clear photos, I can pore over them and look for things I may miss in a live video. Perhaps, equally of importance to me, I look at the neighborhood the vehicle is sitting in, the grass, if sitting in a yard, the house condition, driveway, other vehicles around it, etc.

At any rate, a person can usually discern whether it's a deal to walk from or not with a few phone calls.

Posted in the body of the ad, for example: "Name's Ice. Gimme a call on my Camero. Yo."

Yeah, this quote above isn't getting a call from me. If he's selling a Camaro, but can't spell Camaro, for instance, then I have no use for the car, or for doing business with this guy.

I wouldn't do skype. That just sounds like a hassle.

A few things that would be nice on ads - An actual starting price (no freakin $1 or $123456 or __), pictures (at minimum the 4 sides and one of the inside), contact information that works.
