So im thinking about buying a suburban from a guy i work with. Its a 95' with about 200K on the old 6.5. 4wd, nothing real nice but i was thinking it might be nice to start building a spare motor for when my 1500 calls it quits. Now hes been having stalling issues with the truck, and ive replaced the lift pump, fuel filter and OPS for him, so i know those are now good. And hes also had a shop do the crankshaft position sensor, all with no luck. So the mechanic is telling him it needs an injection pump and he dosent want to spend the $. So im thinking i might get the truck as is for about $500.

What do you guys think?? I can think of alot of things i should be buying instead but seems kinda hard to pass up. Now i have no use for a suburban, so i might be able to supply some parts for the DTR guys. Im kinda just interested in the drivetrain. So give me some words of wisdom here

I didn't see where the pmd was replaced. It is either pmd or pump since the other things have been replaced already.

Yea im thinking its a pmd issue, but i know the guy dosent have much money. Hes already put about $600 into it and dosent want to dump any more. So for my sake the $2500 IP fix works good to lower the sale price
