I missed that. Yeah it sits low for a 4x4. I got the CUCV for now. Not sure what I'm going to replace the "Lemon" with when I get it sold. I have to fix a few things on it before I sell it. I don't want someone coming back screaming they ran out of fuel at 1/2 tank. I hope it sells. I hate the truck now. Tranny was shifting weird towing the CUCV home. Fuel pressure was not low but erratic. seems ok now but I guess at this point I just have it in my head that the truck is a time bomb. It's a shame. I did like it. Hopefully find a Dmax or a nice burb. I'd rather have ab urb but then I'm back to square one towing the camper so Dmax maybe the way to go. Of course If I had bought a Dodge from someone reputable instead of that slimy POS Lee's Auto Ranch in ellington I wouldn't be having these problems.
Never have seen a 2WD around these parts with the front fender flares.
I believe the front fender flares are so the dually wheels lugs don't technically stick out past the body making it illegal. Perhaps something to do with the dually hub plate to allow the dually wheels, may make it stick out farther too.
When I plow my lugs whip water, salt and everything else all over the place, often time misting it right in my face when the window is open, which is almost always.
2wheel duallys dont have them from the factory from what ive seen. my 97 dosnet :smile5::smile5:
Now we are throwing an entirely different suspension system into the mix, right? Your C-p/u has leaf springs?
Have you ever measured the horizontal wheel footprint distance on the 2wd vs the 4wd? I wonder if its 2-4 inches less?
no leafs in the front. it has coils. its just a C3500 not the HD
not sure, ill measure when it stops raining and let you know
To keep the IFS and have a decent ride. I would kill for a solid front end right now. I love how durable they are. And a solid front axle is cheaper to lift too! As it stands now my burb has the T-bars cranked. I need new shocks cuz the ones I have are stock length. It would be better with solid front axle and leafs with a block in it.
Matt, utility bodies turn you on, dont they?
Also they don't plow nearly as well
That I would love to see....a big G30 Van with a 9 foot plow and some flashing lights!:nonod:
