6.5 1993 engine oil cooler lines. O'rielly doorman product. New blue clips smaller than original. I could not push inlet line in to here the snap of the line but I was able to just push it all the way in and put old clip on, into the groove afterwards. New blue clip is smaller and seems too small to get it on. Then, I cannot push the outlet, upper line in even with the clip removed. The groove even looks a little crooked and narrower in places I think. My friend says to put some grease on it but I feel there is no room for any grease. I could go in with a piece of wood "soft" and pry some pressure on it and risk it all? because the lower one had more room and it took a little more pressure to get that one on. Help anybody.

It should take a little pressure to go in, if you have to use a block of wood etc, something is wrong. A little grease/oil won't hurt and helps it to slide in.
