broke something bad

i was messing with the truck the other night found it to be 4 quarts low on oil since i checked it a week and a half ago!!! filled her up and the next day when i was leaving work it started really hard like gps werent working right. on drive home i keept thinking i heard a knock but it seemed to come and go. was driving later that night and knock came back and got really bad and then it sounded like something broke. a valve, push rod something in the head i think. I towed it home and ill prolly start the tear down tommorow. Think im ganna do a full rebuild i got the money right now and im thinking bout buyin a house in the summer so this is my last chance to have expendable money):h

Sorry to hear the bad news.:sad: The death of any 6.5 is terrible. A compression test would narrow down the offending cylinder. 4 quarts is alot of oil to loose that fast. Intake full of oil? Maybe turbo seals blew out? hard starting caused by hydrolocking from oil?
You may need to join the blown up club. I'm a charter member of that):h. Maybe even king.

havent dug into it yet but i do know that before it died the blow by was teribble open the oil fill and there was alot of smoke coming out. ganna try and pull the motor next weekend hope what i find isnt as bad as im thinking. but either way shes getting a full rebuild

Where is the casting number at?

under the intake on the pass side near the front i was investigating a fuel leak looking around the ip and i saw 599 it was like dimples (like brail)

Casting number is also on the back of the block and by the bellhousing
