ok after 6 months of mechanical work and numerous cosmetic issues including painting the whole pickup I put it all back together and I have no turn signals in the rear, my rear running lamps are dim and the 3rd light is on dim. When I hit the brakes when the running lamps are on the tail lights go out all together and the 3rd light shines brightly. When the running lights are off the brake lights work fine. Here is the kicker I popped off the fuse cover under the hood and instead of the brake lamp relay there was a jumper wire connecting two of the terminals. So I purchased a new relay and I get no lights at all in the rear. I can hear the relay clicking though.
I have done guages and keyless entry but they all look good. The old utility bed had led lights if that matters but when I hooked it up to a trailer all the lights worked great.:mad2::eek:

it sounds like you chasing the ground wire for the rear lights. I don't know if they shared the same one for both sides or not. since your trailer lights work fine I'd be willing to bet on it.

Thanks i will try to chase down the grounds tonight if I have time before church.

Ok it is fianlly fixed there were two problems the ground was one on them and the other was the brake switch but i figure the main was the ground and the switch was secondary. Thanks for your time fellas
