Just because everyone likes pics, here's the new rig first day home in the driveway:
2011 Flagstaff. Picked it up this morning and it's only been in the driveway 1.5 hours. It's a 2011 26RLSS (rear living room, super slide). They call it a 26 footer, but it's a few inches shy of 30 feet bumper to hitch. It's one of their "superlight trailers" (what they call it), weighing in at 5228 Lbs dry. It's power everything right down to the stabilizers and hitch jack.
Here's the floor plan:
My Tekonsha Voyager controller wasn't working when we plugged it in, so it came home without trailer brakes. Illegal, but it only had to go about 8 miles. I also didn't have the sway bar/load levelers on yet. The truck dropped about 2 inches with the load (it's got the factory "slide in" camper package) so it's nice and close already. Setting the bars up properly should have it all nice and even with only a slight load on the bars. Perfect for sway control to work.
The truck didn't really notice the weight was back there that much, at least not as much as I thought it would have. About another 100 degrees on the pyro when accelerating and didn't hardly buck or pull at all on pavement irregularities. Overall, I was pretty pleased with the old girl. We were mostly 65 KPH and below though.
Now that the wife has her un-godly expensive toy that MY truck has to tow, it's time to hit her up for that $1000 bill for my tuning software......
