Boost question

Since I turned up my injection pump I noticed my truck is pulling more boost. Normally, driving around town and up most hills, the boost guage never moved. Now it seems to be at about 2 psi on the same hills at the same speeds. the waste gate on the truck is the stock one, before it was only good for about 4-5 psi but now at WOT it seems to be going a little higher, probably close to 6 psi before I let off. It also builds boost way faster than before. Im definently not complaining or anything, just curious as to why its changed so much just from increasing fuel :???:

Don't be scared till it hits 14 PSI and keeps going. 6 PSI is the factory setting no matter how much fuel and coal you are rolling.
Watch for smoke, a sign of over fueling... High EGT's result and it can go south quick. Did I mention how easy it is to swap a 6.5?

You need more boost via a turbomaster etc. to turn your setup's fuel up much more than stock. 1/4 turn of the screw is with a Turbo Master installed at ~12 PSI. You can get away with 1/3 turn but the air via higher boost had better be there.
