Hope I posted this in the correct place. My first instinct was to post in the 6.5 section. Please move this thread If I did not get it in the right section.
The Boost gauge on the 1994 K3500 6.5 TD is reading low - about 4 or 5. The truck Has home made turbo master. How do I tell if it's gauge issue or if the wingnut on the turbomaster loosened up?
I tightened the wingnut a little and the boost came up some.
But now not knowing for sure if the gauge is reading correctly, I am scared to crank it back up to 8 lbs. Is that a good setting?
I can't figure out how to make sure that 8 lbs on the gauge isn't really 15 lbs. I do not have a spare guage to try.
Any ideas and recommendations would be appreciated
