hi everyone
i have a 1994 three quarter ton diesel pick up. everytime i turn on the ignition,a fuse blows to the wiper motor. any ideas of what it might be. 6.5 turbo.

Welcome!!

sounds like a fun job of tracing wires to me...... I'd start out by crawling under the dash and look at the back of the fuse box to look for any redneck jerry rig, or a wire rubbing on the frame. Is there anything in addition to the wipers that quits working when the fuse blows?

Welcome!!

If the circuit is the same in a 94 as it is in the 99, just the wiper motor and washer pump are on that lead, so this at least helps with the isolation. Naturally, double check the owner's manual to verify whether there are any other item(s) on the lead (or not).

Perhaps you were 'moused'?

At the risk of insulting, I'd start by unplugging both the wiper motor and washer pump to see if the fuse still blows. This way it isolates whether the short is on the hot or cold side of the respective items.
