Hey all,
I'm getting ready to put in another set of AC Delco 60G's. This will be the third set in under 2300 miles.

What conditions would burn them out?
Head gasket had blown and flooded a chamber? Too much anti seize and not grounding well?

I'm just throwing crap out there now cause I've always known 60G's to last.

Any ideas?

Are you buying your glows from the same place every time? Any chance they’re counterfeit ACs?

Hmmm...
So that would have to be confined to the glow system itself since it's turning over fine, yeah?

And what voltage, exactly would I be expecting to see when testing?
Should be near battery voltage with all the GPs disconnected.
Also, how snug does the terminal plugs fit the GPz ?
I think the Amazon GPz might be the culprit but You still want to check the condition of the GP harness.
Also mentioned that the GPz quit working but look like new, is that tested with jumper wires from a 12 volt source, as in a wehicle battery thats full charged ?

I've got a PT Wiring Solutions plug harness that's in good shape but I'll check the ends.

I just tested for continuity, didn't figure anything else needed to be tested if it was zero.

That should be good to go.
Still should check voltage on a couple of the terminals to be sure that the GP relay is not goofing off on You.

Report:
NAPA has 60G's for about $11 so I got a set. Warranted for 7 years and unlimited miles which makes the extra cost more than worth it. Especially if this is a manufacturing issues and not a counterfeiting issue.

After install, she absolutely jumps to life. And after recently installing a Powermaster Starter, Verlin Martin 120CC pump, and Harland Sharp 1.5 rockers (I gotta update my sig), she just purrs.

Well, she purrs like a drunken loudmouthed sailor anyway.

Now we'll see how long they last.
