Blower motor issues

04 Chevy 2500 blower don’t work I have replaced blower and resistor still nothing I have power to the motor even with Ignition switch off and power to only one wire the red one in the blower motor harness

Voltage does not = power.

Did you test your old blower by supplying power directly to it?

Did you test your new blower by supplying power directly to it before installing?

I try to test new parts before installing. It can save a lot of grief.

I also test old parts. Even if I have no plans for using them again.

Always test a fuel tank sending unit before installing. I relearned that on the 1995 Tahoe.

Yes I tested old and new parts with a jumper wire directly to them and they both worked fine

Did you test for power at the resistor?

Does the blower have a deicated ground?

The only wire that has Power is the red wire to the resistor

And I’m not sure about the dedicated ground I know if I put a jumper wire on The ground for the blower it will run

Well good, you found you need to repair the ground. It’s good to solve a problem.

But why does the blower have power all of the time

My guess is that the ground is switched
