I scored power windows and locks today. The switch is a 4 switch out of a 4 door truck.

I was going to wire the tailgate to the third switch.

I have found that the front doors would require a 30 amp fuse and the rear glass would use a 20 amp fuse.

I was planning on running a 30 amp fuse for this switch. Is this enough for the fronts and the rear glass at the same time?

Thanks.

If you are running the switches at the same time the amp draw will be cumulative, so 30 amps wouldn't be enough. If you only use one at a time then you would be OK.

Works for me.

Finally got everything put together and working. The door windows are fast! Greased them up and they work like new.

Had the tailgate hooked to the switch but it wasn't as fast as the dash switch so I put it back. Maybe I will try some relays on it sometime.

thanks
