Bigger a/c condenser

Bigger sized and no oil coolers in front of it! Im hoping for some real cold air.

Wow. That's huge! Is that gonna make the compressor have to work harder? And where's your oil cooler gonna go?

Won't affect compressor performance. I just bought all new a/c hardware to. All A/C Delco stuff, hose set, drier, evap orfice tube, switches & sensors. The compressor is an actual Sanden not the Harrison HT6.

See the link in 1st post for new oil coolers locations.

I ran the actual Sanden for awhile, NOISY friggen thing and the shaft seal went after 3 years. Went back to an ht6 style from gpd. And I couldnt imagine my ac being much colder. Just went to Jersey hauling the camper, otside temps of 95-98, engine temps of 210-215(the duramax likes to run a taxd warmer than the ole 6.5), and we were freezing inside on outside air and fans both on low. Ended up having to turn the rear temp up somee because my son just about froze.

I hope I have better luck with the Sanden. They have been great on other projects and I have not had to replace one yet. Time will tell.
Have they improved the design of the HT6 (belly leaker) that you know of?

I read its good to plug up any and all holes that you can in the front support sheet metal and try and seal the condenser to the radiator. My tractor has some foam between the two but I don't remember about the truck. This is to help try and increase pressure differential across stack and encourage air to flow all the way through the stack.

The GPD is a redeign of the old belly leaker. It looks similiar, but has been improved alot. You can still buy the old style belly leaker, but I see no reason to when GPD is making one for less money, and is pinned so it won't blow out like the HT6 did.
