I am using 2 AWG wire for the battery cables and am adding in some amplifiers and such.
I upgraded to a 150 amp alternator and upgraded that cable to 4 AWG to the battery. My truck comes with 2 batteries. I am contemplating remote mounting one into my tool box, and possibly adding a third there too so I could run the stereo with the truck off for more than like 10 minutes. The batteries are in parallel.
Now for the terminals, do you think it good to use one of these multi-terminal car stereo type things that has a 2 AWG, and a couple 4 AWG outputs with allen set screws to hold the wires in.
Or would it be better to crimp on terminals to all the wires and get a terminal with posts and screws?
I like the multiterminal thing, but have doubts on how secure that set screw is compared to a crimped on terminal and bolted down.
Thanks for any know how or lessens learned
