When searching I saw group 31 and group 31T. What's the difference?

This is for the 1963 John Deere 4010 diesel.

Others are running a single group 31 battery. Since I need new batteries, I can get by with one battery. I need a battery box regardless. I can put the saved battery money towards a 12 volt conversion - that I should have done when I installed the 24 volt alternator.

Does anyone have need of a 24 volt alternator or starter?

I am looking for recommendations for something I can use a group 31 battery box out of. For a single battery.

I don't have a lot of time and it would save building a box.

The old 1991 International 4700 uses 2 group 31 batteries.
Thanks

not sure on the "T" but here at work we stock two different group 31 batteries. 31S and 31P the "S" is for threaded stud and "P" is for top post. the 31 is just a size dimension of the battery case
