On a hummer forum a guy had some made in france 80034 that the terminals were popping off, so if you buy new ones- don't get the made in france bosch till they fix the assembly line goof.

The terminal tabs on them were clearly not welded properly, so they popped off. He got them from R.A. so i'm sure he will get new ones swapped out no problem- they took care of my issues in the past on other parts.

I wouldn't worry about any made at other locations, it would just be a batch issue that they may have already corrected. He is going to contact them and let them know if he can figure who to call.

If you buy any, just give a good wiggle to the terminal first before install so you dont get them in and have the wire fall off and short.

Thanks for the heads up! I just bought a set for my 6.2 project and noticed that they were from France......... I will give them a good wiggle test!

I read about this same issue with Bosch GPs in the other forum.

I suggested to the people who has issue to send an email to Bosch through their website. I don't think they will reply but hopefully somebody reads it.

I got mine out and gave them all a very good wiggle test. All but one passed. The one that broke, broke just about as soon as I touched it. I am tempted to try to tig weld it myself, cause if I return it what are the odds the replacement will be bad as well?

Odds are your replacement will be just fine, as it will come from a different manufacturing lot. If you attempt to TIG/MIG it and FUBAR it, well, forget the warranty replacement and pop another $13 for a new one.
