B&M ShiftPlus Electronic Shift Improver Kits

What's the general concensus on these if one won't ever be running as a wrecker or dumptruck?

I had one. It worked OK for a week. really made the shifts long and hard... good or bad I don't know.. a week later it burnt up and the switch melted.. so Id say save your money, it was a 2 wire install so I don't think I screwed anything up

I've had one set on the middle setting for about 4 years now with no issues at all.

I have one, set to the hardest shift setting and love it. Had it for about 3 years, no issues.

I've had one for years, used to love it. Now I never turn it on anymore. After I rebuilt my valve body and made an adjustment for hard shifts, I leave the B&M off. It shifts real hard now, quite a kick in the pants.
But, I had no problems with my B&M shiftplus, it was easy to install and worked just as advertized.

HMM, got one in the 'burb, need to play with it. It's just been sitting in the console.
